CSG Award
From age 18, entitlement to basic grant and supplementary grant if low parental capacity to pay. DUO calculates based on parents' income.
Impact on Maintenance
CSG reduces the need, so possibly lower parental contribution. Courts do not offset loans as income.
DUO-Loans
Tuition fee and travel loans are supplementary. In case of debts, no impact on family obligation.
Practice: Student with €400 CSG and €300 loan still claims €200 from parents. Advice: submit DUO application before September for maximum assistance.
